Beverly Hills Hotels Partner Together to Offer “Fall into Luxury” Hotel Promotion

It’s so cool to see so many great companies, luxury hotels at that, to partner together to put on such a great promotion.

According to a post over on the site of the Beverly Hills Courier, a good number of luxury hotels in Beverly Hills (are there any other kind here?) have partnered to put on a new fall promotion called “Fall into Luxury” running now through December 30th. When guests stay a minimum of two nights at one of the world-class participating hotel properties, they will receive a $100 hotel credit good towards hotel services (specified below) and a complimentary room upgrade at the time of booking.

Participating hotels include AKA Beverly Hills, Avalon Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows, The Beverly Hilton,  Beverly Wilshire, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, Lux Rodeo Drive, Montage Beverly Hills, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, and Thompson Beverly Hills.

What a great promotion by the people behind

Bloggers Note:  I will be in Beverly Hills during November and would be willing to do review stays at any or all of the hotels in this promotion for publication here at and also over at

Bid for a Travel Companion on eBay!

Bid for a Travel Companion on EbayPerhaps you know someone who would love to do a lot of traveling this summer, but really cannot manage all the luggage, transportation and details.  You should tell this about this auction on eBay, where a Bellevue-based entrepreneur has put himself up for auction for the entire month of August.  His suggested tasks during the time include travel companion, driver, body guard, personal assistant, personal trainer, nutrition advisor and more.  Those interested in learning more about this guy’s talents can see his resume online at

BTW – This crazy entrepreneur in Bellevue, Washington is me, Joe “The Connector” Kennedy.  Is this a crazy publicity stunt or a cunning ploy to get work for a new PR company?

A Cruise to Consider: Take the World’s Oldest Registered Passenger Ship on a Cruise Through the Gota Canal

MS Juno World's Oldest Registered Passenger ShipThis morning I am reading about Gavin Bell’s adventure aboard the MS Juno, cruising through the 120 mile long Gota Canal which he wrote about for the The Telegraph.  It turns out that the MS Juno launched in 1874 and is currently the world’s oldest registered ship.  That’s a very interesting fact, I’m not sure that is a good thing.

Gavin describes the cabins as the size of a sleeping compartment on a luxury train and I’m not sure that works for me.  Although I don’t like to spend much time in my cabin on cruises, when I do, I don’t want to be claustrophobic …

I would, however, love to check out the Gota Canal which runs from Stockholm to Gothenburg.  The scenery looks beautiful.

If you are looking for a hotel in Stockholm, Bell recommends the Nobis Hotel which is a 201 room independent hotel in downtown Stockholm on Norrmalmstorg Square.  If you are staying in Gothenburg, he suggests Hotel Flora, which is a 4 star hotel.

Ryanair flies from London Stansted Airport to both Stockholm and Gotheburg and there are a number of tour operators that offer Gota Canal Cruise Holiday Packages.

Escape to Cedarbrook Lodge: An Oasis in the Shadow of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

Boutique Hotel and Business Conference Center is Hidden Gem,
Oh So Close to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

By Joe Kennedy

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an overnight stay at the multiple award-winning Cedarbrook Lodge.  This hotel and conference center is hidden away at the end of a non-descript residential street in the community of SeaTac, just barely separated from the very busy SeaTac Strip by 18 acres of very peaceful wetlands – but worlds away from the hustle and bustle of that major thorough fair that runs in front of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
